Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" has a light, upbeat and flirty mood before Kadebostany's cover turned it into something much darker, mysterious and erotic. Every sentence in the lyric was altered by the melody into sounding more seductive rather than teasingly playful. The song starts slow, building up the intensity along the verse, until reaching its peak in the chorus. (Got me looking so crazy right now...). What i found most fascinating was the simple change in tempo and instruments that completely changes the meaning of the song. I then figured that this simple change applies the same in our daily lives. It is up to how we approach things with our attitude and perspective which makes up our mood: positive or negative. | |
