5 p's of success + 1
by kurt w. mortensen + Arvin sutedja
According to author and consultant Kurt W. Mortensen, there are 5 fundamental things in life that help you achieve success and wealth. The first P is psyche, which means the mindset of an individual; one has to have a strong mindset to believe and be motivated on attaining a particular goal. The second P is presence; It is a function of confidence and charisma. People with presence tend to empower and influence effortlessly because of their ability to inspire, encourage and empower. The next P is personal development, which means the ability to continually learn and grow everyday. These people tend to be more enthusiastic and open-minded for future possibilities compared to those that aren't learning at all, which will end up being pessimistic and doubtful about their own future. The fourth P is passion, which is one of my favorite word. This trait enables you to convert people for your cause and ambition through belief, enthusiasm and emotion. Finally, the last P is one that gets you through hurdles with other people to attain what you want: persuasion. These 5 points are useful principles that outlines how one can embrace the skills needed for success. However, I would argue that his principle for success is incomplete without the sixth P. One would undermine the value and meaning of success, one would not be able to achieve anything, one would not even exist if it is not for the final P, which is --- people.
